Blogging about Inclusive ICT and D

This is my initial blog post on what I hope to be a very active blog and podcast.  Here, I hope to find a vehicle to express some of my thoughts about new developments in information and communication technologies (ICT), accessibility and universal design (which focuses on persons with disabilities, particular the communities of people who are deaf and heard of hearing, blind and visually impaired, and mobility impaired.  There are so many technologies that can make a difference in the lives of persons with disabilities, but there needs to be a more sustained focus on ensuring those technologies are as accessible as possible.  It is also critical to understand how ICTs play an important role in achieving the goals of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), the first human rights treaty of the 21st century,  the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and the ongoing implementation of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
